Privacy Policy for Decision Manager

Please take a moment to read the following Privacy Policy.

SERVICE PROVIDER

Decision Manager is provided on behalf of Wedding TV Ltd by Skimbit Ltd. This Privacy Policy represents Skimbit's commitment to protect your personal data while you use Decision Manager. Wedding TV Ltd will adhere to this Privacy Policy also.

THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We are committed to protecting your privacy online. This Privacy Policy sets out how we treat your personal information, allowing you to make informed choices about the personal information you provide us via Decision Manager. If there is anything you do not understand then please Contact Us

IMPORTANT: By accessing and using this Website and submitting any personal information to us (in relation to your registration as a Registered User), you will automatically be taken to have read, understood and accepted this Privacy Policy. If you do not want us to collect, use and/or transfer your personal information in this way then you should (depending on what it is you object to) cease to access and use this Website and/or Contact Us and (if applicable) ask for your registration as a Registered User to be deleted. This Privacy Policy may be amended from time to time, and we therefore suggest that you review it periodically.

WHAT WE MEAN BY PERSONAL INFORMATION

Personal information means any data from which you can be identified (including information such as your name, postal address, email address and password) and which concerns you. All personal information that we obtain from you in relation to your use of this Website will be dealt with in accordance with the provisions of this Privacy Policy.

COLLECTED DATA AND ITS USES

Skimbit collects the following information from users via Decision Manager:

  • Email address
  • Username and password
  • Project related information such as project type, decision criteria, bookmarks and descriptions/images of bookmarked sites
  • User-created content such as comments, feedback and ratings/rankings
  • IP address and browser data
  • Cookies

PROJECT DATA

Project related information and user-generated content submitted by users can be redisplayed and marketed to the public unless specifically made private or shared by the user.

As Decision Manager is a free site, we may display targeted advertising on your project pages based on the content of these pages. This process is done using automated targeted advertising tools such as Google.

If you make a project 'public', your user name, public profile information (photo, date you became a member), and public project pages are displayed throughout the Site to any user, and your project pages may be used to populate other user's 'Featured public projects' pages. However, your shared projects will only be visible to friends you have invited via email, and your private projects will not be visible to any other user.

AGGREGATED DATA

On an aggregate, non-personally identifiable level we may analyse site usage and information volunteered by the user (such as survey information and/or site registration) to customise and improve the Site's content, layout, and services.

We may also aggregate information on the origin of sites bookmarked using our Service, for the purpose of improving the means with which we integrate and interpret semantic information from their sites. For example, if we see that large proportion of our users bookmark Site A, we can then make our service more tuned to Site A's content structure, which benefits users (they can use our Service more efficiently) and site owners (as we make it easier for users to remember and return to your site).

PERSONAL INFORMATION

As a matter of policy, we do not sell or rent any of your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes without your explicit consent. However, the following describes some of the ways that your personal information may be disclosed in the normal scope of business:

  1. We reserve the right to give your personal information to a third party without your consent where the disclosure is required by law, such as where there is a court order, or statutory obligation requiring us to make such a disclosure. Or where we believe that such disclosure is necessary in order to assist in the prevention or detection of any criminal action (including fraud) or is otherwise in the overriding public interest, and is permitted by law.
  2. If Skimbit is acquired by or merged with another company, and it requires a transfer of information about you, Skimbit will notify you before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
  3. As a registered user with Decision Manager, we may send periodical emails to you indicating updates to the Decision Manager service. We commit to not doing this excessively (we detest spam ourselves), and you can unsubscribe at any time.
  4. As Skimbit is providing Decision Manager on behalf of Wedding TV, Skimbit will share its data with Wedding TV on the condition they maintain at least the same level of protection outlined in this Privacy Policy. Wedding TV will only contact you if you have consented to their marketing communications explicitly during user registration.

CUSTOMER SERVICE

Skimbit employees and sub-contractors may examine project page data on an individual user basis as necessary to provide requested customer support and troubleshoot problems as permitted by law.

If you send us personal correspondence, such as emails or letters, or if other users or third parties send us correspondence about your activities or postings on the Site, we may collect such information into a file specific to you.

USE OF EMAIL AND ADDRESS BOOK

A user may use Decision Manager to send email invitations to view and give feedback on their Decision Manager projects to other users. Skimbit will populate the user's Decision Manager Address Book with these email addresses.

You may not use the email feature that we offer to send spam or otherwise send content that would violate our Terms of Service. We may permanently store email addresses sent from these tools for the purpose of simplifying future emails you wish to send out. We do not read the content of these emails.

If you send an email using the service to an email address that is not registered in our community, we do not use that email address for any purpose other than to send your email. We do not rent or sell these email addresses. We do not market to these emails in any way as a direct result of your submission of their email.

Other users may send emails to you via the Decision Manager service. Skimbit does not review these messages before they are sent to you.
