Last year at a wedding, we received a little envelope of seeds for our favors. On the outside of the envelope it had the couples name and wedding date and the saying "Love Grows". This was such a special way to remember my friend's wedding. I planted the seeds and each time I saw the flowers, I thought of my friends.

Every garden should have this long-flowering beauty which flaunts its sprays of fragrant purple flowers, on wiry angular branching stems, from June until the frost. Acts as a magnet to butterflies.

I actually received this gift a couple of weeks ago at a wedding and loved the idea. Each couple received a little gift bag as we left and inside was this figurine and a note from our friends expressing their heartfelt thanks for being part of their special day. I love the Willow Tree figurines because they are simple but so special.

Recently, we received a wedding invitation for a couple who tastefully asked that no gifts be presented them on their wedding day, and that any cash they received would be going to their favorite charity. As a favor a their wedding, each guest received a card indicating that as thanks, a gift to charity had been made in their name and that gift had provided specific services. Each guests varied. Some were providing clean water to citizens of third world countries, others were for school supplies for inner-city youths, and the list went on and on. I thought it was such a touching gift that I wanted to pass the idea along. A good place to start with a gift like this is UNICEF. This specific gift would be 50 Polio Vaccines for children. It is only £6.00, but it goes quite a long way and your guests would be honored to be involved in helping out in this way. I think it makes a touching gift and creates a special memory of your wedding day.
